Textbook Shipping Frequently Asked Questions
For your convenience, all textbooks are shipped to students via FedEx every year. Please click here to fill out the Upper School Textbook Shipping Address Form. The deadline to fill out this form is Friday, May 24th, 2024.

Can we pick up the box instead?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide pick-ups.

When are the books being shipped?
Upper School book boxes are shipped circa the beginning of August every year. For the 2024-2025 school year, Upper School book boxes are estimated to ship during the week of Monday, August 5th through Friday, August 9th, 2024.

What if I am not at home at time of delivery?
If no one is available when FedEx attempts to deliver your box, FedEx will leave your box at your door.

We're not going to be home on the dates the books will be delivered. What should we do?
You may provide us with an alternate address - we can send the box to your relative, your neighbor, your work, or so on. Please let the business or household know that you are shipping the box to them so they know to expect it.

Billing: In your box of textbooks, you will find a picking list which indicates which textbooks were included in your book box and what you were billed for. If an item on your picking list has a 1 (one) next to it, then it was included in your book box. If an item on your picking list has a 0 (zero) next to it, then it was not in your book box and you have not been charged for it.

Returns: Please DO NOT remove ANY shrink wrap or mark your books in any way until you are positive you will not be changing your schedule. Otherwise, we will not accept them for returns. Additionally, kits containing course materials and/or kits or textbooks containing e-texts/access codes may not be returnable. All returns for the 2023-2024 school year must be made by Friday, October 6th, 2023.

Course Booklist: Click here to download the Upper School course booklist for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a PDF file, and you will need Adobe Acrobat in order to read it. The course booklist for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in July 2024.

ID Cards: In order to purchase items in the bookstore, your school ID card is required, either your plastic ID card or the HW ID app on your mobile device. If you have lost your ID or forget to bring it in, you will have to buy a replacement ID Card. Returning students are NOT required to purchase a new ID card if they still have their cards from prior school years.

School Supplies: All recommended school supplies including pens, pencils, calculators, Master Locks, notebooks, binders, and more are available for purchase in the Bookstore. New locks are NOT required for returning students. Harvard-Westlake requires school locks to be used on school lockers.

Online Store: Although the bookstores are closed during the summer, you may continue to shop online at http://store.hw.com for your Wolverines spirit gear!
