If you often get nervous, or “blank” during tests, you need to develop a process to calm yourself and gather your thoughts. The follow are suggestions that have helped other students:
-
Skim the entire test. Get the idea of the problems, rather than deciding exactly how to approach them.
-
Jot down notes by problems. These may be formulas, or something about a similar problem.
-
If a particular question is confusing, mark it and skip it.
-
Try relaxation exercises, such as deep breathing.
