Reading Tips
- Look at how the author had divided the chapter. Look at the subheadings.
- When reading two different historians, look for differences in their perspective. Remember, your teacher assigned these pieces together for a reason!
- Note italicized words and names in the text. These are important.
- Rather than using a highlighter as you read, annotate the text with margin notes which summarize paragraphs or sections.
