Preparing For Tests

  • Start studying for your test as early as possible.  Knowledge is built slowly, over a period of days, rather than overnight.  (Remember:  Rome was not built in a day.)
  • Test preparation begins the first day of the unit.  Each night, review your class notes to catch any problems.
  • For some, (kinesthetic learners) condensed review notes are a helpful process.
  • Develop a set of possible essay questions.  Pay attention to important issues from your text and what your teacher emphasizes in class.  This will allow you to focus on the forest, rather than the trees.
