Middle School Community Service
Many students enter the school already committed to community service outreach; for others, it is a new road to travel.  Hopefully, by graduation, every student will share the sentiments expressed by an alumna of Harvard-Westlake when she was a ninth grader:

"As we help each other, we gain from each other, grow closer,
and obliterate the barriers which attempt to keep us apart."

News & Announcements
Summer Vacation and Outreach:
 Eighth and Ninth Graders are welcome to do their community service outreach requirement over the summer. We encourage students to use this less stressful time to make a difference in our community. Students should review the summer and year-round site list under our download section of the website. The first two pages of the list are devoted to suggestions and important guidelines. In addition to the site list, students may also download our outreach form and a fact sheet on the middle school Humanitas Award and its criteria.

Students, who do outreach over the summer, need to turn in their completed and signed outreach form by the end of September 2008.
