The Jazz Explorers played their first gig of the 2007-2008 school year at the 2007 Lotus Festival July 13 in Echo Park.

They performed several jazz standards in the Lotus Festival's first ever Twilight Jazz Concert, and their set lasted approximately 40 minutes.

In addition to Ian Stanton '08 and Ian Sprague '08, who were members last year, four new musicians, Charlie Fogarty '10, Gordon Wintrob '08, Billy Goulston '08 and Leland Cox '09, played in the group.
