Girls' soccer wins Southern California regional competition

The girls' soccer team completed its run to a state championship with a 1-0 win over La Jolla High School Saturday night.
The Wolverines played tough defense throughout and Maddie Lenard's '09 goal was enough for the victory and the Division II state championship.
After a heartbreaking loss in CIF finals, the team rebounded to win three straight state playoff games, allowing only one goal in total.
