 About HW Minimize

How to write a position paper: Minimize
One position paper is required for each delegate and research awards will be presented to those who demonstrate a solid understanding of the topic and have researched beyond what is presented in the topic synopses. Position papers cannot be more than one single-sided page in 10 or 12 point Times New Roman, Arial, Book Antiqua or another similar font.  Students are also encouraged to use one inch margins and single spaced fonts in their position papers.
Each Delegate should include a header indicating the committee they are in, the topic under discussion and the country they are representing. The body should include a general background of the subject, UN involvement in the crisis and possible solutions for what needs to be done.

Position Papers are due October 17, 2008.

For Harvard-Westlake club members, you will need to complete a Country Profile Research Worksheet that will help you focus your research before every conference. The CIA World Factbook is a good place to start looking. If this sheet is not completed, you will only get half-credit for attending a conference.

Country Profile Research Worksheets are due October 13, 2008 for Harvard-Westlake students for HWMUN.
